AHA Heartcode blended learning course is an alternative to traditional CPR classes.
With he AHA blended learning course The dialectical portion and test can be taken at home on your computer or tablet. Then you schedule an appointment with us to be checked off on your hands on skills.
The skills sessions vary in length depending on the coarse and the practice the student will need. They are available for Heartsaver, BLS, ACLS, and PALS. All NRP classes are skills sessions.
Once the Skills session is completed, we will issue your card shortly after.
I find that the blended learning may not be whats best for everyone. Your are welcome to ask us any questions before you buy the course.
You have to purchase the course from American Heart Association and then there is a separate cost for the skills session. You schedule and pay for the skills session with us. The skills session includes the price of the card. Some employers will provide a code so you dont have to pay for the online course. Please check with yours.
The online course has to be finished before your skills sessions. You will need to bring a copy of the completion certificate to class with you. You will most likely need a book to complete the online course. You can purchase or borrow (with a deposit) from us.
We offer online course thru the American Heart association and now offer a virtual class room option. Both options allow you to take didactical part at home followed by a skills session to practice and test your hands on skills.
Our virtual ACLS, PALS or BLS Course provides a safe, simple and convenient alternative to classroom-based training. At any time that meets your schedule, simply go online to access the virtual instruction that was co-developed with the Healthcare Learning Alliance. When that’s done, print the certificate you’ll need for your in-person, skills check. After a successful skills check, you’ll receive an official 2-year American Heart Association certification card.
AHA blended learning course is integrated learning course that adapts to your learning needs. As of 2020 there are no longer e-sims in the course. Once the course is completed you will be eligible to take skills session and receive your AHA provider card. This course can be purchased directly from the AHA or from us when you schedule you skills session.
The skills session is the same for either online course option. You are issued the same card with which ever course you take. The skills session when you will practice and test your hands-on skills. The length of the skills session will depend on the students skill level, experience and knowledge of the course. Skills session at this time will have a max of 3-4 students. There is also an option to take a private course. (Extra cost will apply). An online course is required, (does not have to be purchased from Desert CPR) prior to the course.
